Tukaram Sonawane is a business-oriented farmer. He yields vegetables and fruits in every season. Every year, in all three seasons of Kharif, Rabi and Zaid he plants cucumber crops. During winter, the temperature drops down and the growth of the cucumber crop is stunted and the flowering decreases. A lot of effort is needed to control sucking insects on a cucumber crop like aphids, caterpillars, and weevils and the spread of disease due to them.

In the current Rabbi season, Tukaram Sonawane selected two varieties of cucumber named Kaveri and Shivalika. After the seeds of cucumber were sowed, he mixed Biofit N.P.K and Biofit Shet- 1 litre each in 200 litres of water and used it for a 1-acre area at an interval of 10 days through drip irrigation.

He also sprayed Biofit Steamrich and Bio-99, 3 times, at an interval of 15 days. As a result, the vines of the crop grew rapidly, the fall of flowers decreased and the number of fruits increased. On average, the length of the cucumber increased too. The fruit's weight also increased to 180-220 grams.

Biofit Intact was used on the cucumber crops at an interval of 20 days as a precautionary measure against sucking insects. This reduced the cost of chemical drugs.
